Shutterstock A worthy competitor to iStock. These two are really worth a look. Contributing photographers must apply before they are eligible to upload their images. The applicants must submit 10 pictures that are screened for quality and suitability. At least 7 pictures must be approved for the contributor account to become active. They are rather picky so make sure to read our tips! |

Big Stock Photo Big Stock Photo is another site where you can submit your photographs. This site's system for submitting and browsing pictures is fairly good. Very friendly to beginners. Give it a try! |

Dreamstime is one of the largest stock photography/royalty free agencies in the microstock photography market. Founded in 2004, the company is based in Brentwood, Tennessee and as of October 2006, had a 680 000image database. |

Featurepics Much smaller site but one that seems stable and well-maintained. I'm not sure if photographers there get many sales but hey, why not try it out. One thing I like about Featurepics, is the fact that they allow you to set your own prices. |

LuckyOliver You can tell by the name that this one is different. Photos sell for $1. You get 30 cents or more depending on your number of downloads. Great humor throughout the site ... Check it out! |
